Polyester iron-on film for covering model planes. 200x64 cm roll, fuelproof. Working temperature range 120-180°C.

The KAVAN iron-on covering film is manufactured from a high strength yet very thin and light polyester polymer coated by a layer of heat-sensitive adhesive with high quality pigments. It is supplied in rolls with a width of 64 cm and a length of 2 m, the back side with the adhesive is protected by a clear protective liner. The KAVAN iron-on film is resistant to model hobby fuels - glow, diesel and petrol. The thickness of the film is 50-65 µm (including glue) and the area density is 63-70 g/m2 (generally, darker coulours have slightly lower grammage than lighter ones). Shrinkage of the film is 5-10%; the same in all directions. It is possible to use ordinary model hobby sealing irons and hot air guns, the working temperature range is approx. 95-180°C. The optimal temperature for attaching to the frame is approx. 95-100°C, the temperature for shrinking approx. 130-140°C, for contouring of curves 140-160°C. ... more »
